Located in an attractive Grade II listed
building, conveniently located in the centre of Birmingham where
the city's business and commercial quarter meets the city's
cultural centre, The Birmingham and Midland Institute is a
cultural and conference centre which also presents music concerts
as well as conferences, talks and seminars. Rooms in the BMI,
including lecture theatres, large conference rooms and smaller
meeting rooms are available for hire on a day or part-day basis.
The BMI also includes The Birmingham Library, founded in 1779.
Equipment for hire per day or part day. Several
independent societies are affiliated to the BMI, using its
premises for their meetings and activities. In addition, the Royal
Institute of British Architects and Midland Co-operative Society
are among its tenants.
